Digital Products & Thoughtful AI Collaboration.

I help people see that their vision has more life than they imagined, bridging the gap between ideas and technical reality by stripping away clutter to build focused, user-centered solutions.

How I Work

A Double Diamond process, and the four ways AI earns a seat in it.

I partner with stakeholders as a collaborative ally, using an iterative Double Diamond approach to diverge on high-impact possibilities and converge on grounded, achievable solutions. To accelerate this, I treat AI not as an oracle, but as a context-hungry co-worker — using it as a thought partner to rapidly ideate, test technical feasibility, and bridge the gap between abstract vision and clean execution.

  • The Mental Mirror

Acts as a sounding board to challenge assumptions, reflect raw ideas, and bring strategic concepts into sharp focus through rapid back-and-forth dialogue.

  • Grounded Synthesis

Processes messy research and stakeholder notes under strict guardrails, relying solely on provided sources and domain expertise to filter out noise.

  • Functional Feasibility

Generates lightweight, working code prototypes to test technical constraints early and give developers an unmistakable blueprint.

  • Living Project Specs

Builds and continuously references structured documentation, ensuring technical experiments strictly adhere to project criteria as the scope evolves.

About Me

Craft, systems, and where the two meet.

Portrait of Roan — product designer and systems thinker

I’m a UX/product designer with a background in graphic design, hands-on trades, and a self-taught toolkit that includes front-end code and AI prototyping. I do my best work on small teams where I can collaborate closely with people to build products from the ground up, making sure the underlying logic is solid and the visuals are clean. My neurodivergent perspective means I approach design with deep focus, strategic pattern recognition, and genuine optimism for what new tech can do for people. When I’m not designing or tinkering with software, I’m usually sketching, reading, or spending time with my family as a dad.
